Begin Your Journey in Mewar Language

In three simple steps, you can run your first Mewar program inside Visual Studio Code:

1. Install VS Code & the Mewar extension:
- Download and install Visual Studio Code from the official website.
- Install the "Mewar Language" VS Code extension – download the VSIX file from GitHub and install it via View → Extensions → ⋮ → Install from VSIX….
- Reload VS Code after installation.
2. Create your first Mewar file:
- Open VS Code and create a new folder for your project.
- Inside that folder, create a new file named hello.mewar.
- Type this code into the file:

# My first Mewar program

say "Hello from the kingdom!"

3. Run the file from VS Code:

Make sure hello.mewar is open and active in the editor.
Press Ctrl + Shift + P (or Cmd + Shift + P on Mac) to open the Command Palette.
Search for "Mewar: Run Current File" (or your custom run command) and press Enter.
See the royal output in the Mewar output panel / terminal inside VS Code.
